Operator Position Available

 

This person performs the inspection and packing of parts.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

 

Must be highly motivated with good organization, communication, and writing skills.  Working well under pressure and handling tasks simultaneously is a must. Candidate needs to be in decent physical condition due to frequent lifting of heavy materials. Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stay on feet for 8 to 12 hours. 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Run molding machine or assembly equipment as assigned. 
  2. Responsible for packing only good quality parts.
  3. Responsible for ensuring that all machines are producing quality products.
  4. Responsible for notifying the supervisor of any suspicious findings, machine(s) malfunctioning or stopped, any time you leave your machine without a replacement. 
  5. Responsible for the cleanliness of machines and surrounding work areas. The workstation must remain neat and organized at all times. 
  6. Responsible for machine and personal safety and for following all prescribed lock-out procedures. Always working safely.
  7. Completes required documentation, including Production entry sheets & Time tracking sheets.
  8. Recommends continuous improvement methods 
  9. May need to work weekends as required to meet our customers’ needs.
  • Will perform other tasks as assigned by Operation Manager.
  • Ensure quality product is being packed on machines. 
  • At all times, must be an asset to the company. This will include stepping outside of job description to help others.

    Work in compliance with the Occupational Safety & Health Act’s provisions and regulations.


    Use or wear the equipment, protective devices, or clothing that the worker’s employer requires to be used or worn.

    Report to his or her employer or supervisor the absence of or defect in any equipment or protective device of which the worker is aware and which may endanger himself, herself or another worker.


    Report to his or her employer or supervisor any contravention of this Act or the regulations or the existence of any hazard of which he or she knows.

    The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, sit, stand, walk and reach with hands and arms, and to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. 

    Occasional lifting or moving objects of up to 50 pounds is possible; heavier objects will be moved with assistance from other employees or equipment.


    While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.


    The noise level in the work environment can be moderate to loud dependent upon area of production floor where work is being performed.
